Right Side of the Tracks (7.3%) An IPA generously late hopped “New England style” with Australian Enigma & Galaxy, so not bitter, but piney & dank with only a slight haze from the ridiculous amount of hops!
Saison de Fleur: ELDERFLOWER
Saison de Fleur: ELDERFLOWER (5.7%) A Belgian farmhouse Saison style brewed with elderflowers. Very drinkable and approachable for craft beer aficionados and people who enjoy an easy drinking beer. While we still have the Saison de Fleur: ROSE, try them side by side!!
39Rye-ve (4.9% ABV) A Maryland style Amber Rye Ale celebrating the heritage of MD style rye whiskey ingredients. Local Chesapeake Malting 6-row barley with rye for a nice bite and corn to smooth it all out. A refreshing and dry rye finish.
NITRO: Keeper (4.7% ABV). Dark chocolate yumminess, this Milk Stout is brewed with Chesapeake Bay blue crab shells from JM Clayton’s in Cambridge, a 5thgeneration crab processor. The crab shells give the beer a roundness and minerality.
ON CASK: First Whisper(5.3% ABV) A traditional British ESB cask conditioned by our very own Cask Whisperer, Steve Marsh. The casks have added locally grown Cascade hops from Bullfrog Farm or English Breakfast tea.
2 Paws 2
2 Paws 2(5.8% ABV) – Round 2 of the collaboration brew with Flying Dog. This pale ale is brewed with locally grown paw paw fruits (like a Maryland mango) from Deep Run Orchard, locally grown and malted 2-row and 6-row barley from Dark Cloud Malthouse and Chesapeake Malting, and Galaxy hops. We brewed one with them in Frederick (2 Paws the original last year and 2 Paws 2 this year) and then they came here to help brew one here at Checkerspot. Feel the love!
Strongman(10.1% ABV). Double digits here with this Belgian Golden Strong, notes of honey and pear. This one can creep up on you!
Locally Delicious(5%) – A Kettle Sour brewed with 100% local ingredients. We used 6-row barley from Chesapeake Malting, wheat from Dark Cloud Malthouse, Nugget hops from Bullfrog Farm, and yeast grown by local wrangler, Jasper Yeast. The sour was finished with local peaches and nectarines from Baugher’s and blackberries and blueberries from Caskwhisper Farms.
Invisible Pink Unicorn
Invisible Pink Unicorn (7% ABV). This NEIPA has tropical fruit notes from Galaxy, Equinox and Azacca hops. In the soft and juicy style of NEIPAs, but without the chalky haze.
Juniperus(7.4% ABV). An IPA with dank candy flavors and a hint of pine, brewed with Idaho 7 & Mosaic hops and juniper berries.
Stomping Ground (5.4% ABV). A Pale Ale heavily hopped with Experimental hop #07270, a trifecta of dankness, pine and delicate citrus. We’re trying to rename the hop Experimental #21230!
